“Oh? So this is the final exam report?”
Harold narrowed his eyes slightly as he took the envelope, respectfully presented to him by the head butler. As he opened the securely sealed box, the scent of flowers tickled his nose. Chuckling softly at the thoughtful gesture, Harrold pulled out the report and began to read.
Report on Count Ryoji Uchino

Background
He appeared suddenly in the city of Drugul on March 27, 500th Year of the Kingdom Calendar. All history prior to that is completely unknown. According to his own account, he is a viscount from the “Nation of Japan” and was transported to the Mushroom Forest north of the Yuhan-Stokes Frontier Territory by a magical artifact. Wrapped in mystery—how wonderful.
Recognized for his potential by the gatekeeper Marco (older brother of the Frontier Count Stokes), he registered with the Adventurer’s Guild. During registration, he broke the crystal orb used to measure magic power and easily defeated a rising star adventurer with a single blow. Later, he prevented two stampedes in the Cave of Trials, earning him a knighthood from Count Yuhan. Thanks to further exploits, he was promoted to B-rank in Drugul in record time and at the youngest age ever. I wish I had seen the fight with the Minotaur.
Before entering the Royal Magic Academy, he cleared the Forest of Board and became a Dragon Slayer. In the entrance exam, he scored the highest marks ever, earning the academy’s first-ever Black Medal. He also lectured as a teacher while still a student, expanding the possibilities of attribute magic and chant shortening. During his time at the academy, he cleared a beginner-level explorer dungeon and became a Dragon Slayer again. For these accomplishments, he was granted the title of Count. Really cool.
“…Hey. Isn’t this a little too biased?”
“I didn’t conduct the preliminary review. So it’s up to you, Duke, to decide whether it passes/fails.”
“I figured as much… I guess I’ll read to the end before judging.”
Harold glanced up at the head butler, but when urged to continue reading, he let out a small sigh and returned his gaze to the letter.
In addition to the above, he is expected to create legendary high-grade potions and magical tools in the future. He even began developing teleportation magic circles and completed them. Such achievements are nothing short of breathtaking. Though he gained immense wealth from them, the wonderful Ryoji-sama shows no attachment to money and displays a sense of finance that leaves those around him bewildered. I’m enchanted by Ryoji-sama’s lack of obsession with money.
A prime example of this is his well-known love for parties—he frequently hosts them upon rising in adventurer rank or while he is in the Royal Capital. The cost of a single party is extravagant even by noble standards, with one story claiming he handed 30 gold coins to the event coordinator. I want to join next time too.
Relationships
He hired Guild receptionists Carena and Melta, as well as a weaponsmith’s daughter named Sieve, as maids. Carena and Melta later became his fiancées. Sheev remains in a “pending” status but serves as head maid at his residences in Drugul and the garrison. Not fair. I want to be one of his fiancées too. I want to be by his side.
He is also connected to many influential figures: Frontier Count Yuhan, his brother Marco, Aurelio of the Carcano Company, royal family members Elena Sandstrom, Duke Harrold, chief court magician Helman, Cardinal Ralph, and Knight Commander Theobald. He is even said to be close with King Marcel. Thanks to these connections, the Royal Family founded the Sandstrom Sweets Research Institute. I want to be a researcher too and eat sweets!
At the academy, he formed friendships with lead professor Reynold, headmistress Charlotte, other professors and staff, and has co-authored numerous academic papers on magic.
Notes
There is information that he uses his personal wealth to support the poor, beyond the rewards earned from beginner dungeons. The royal family is reportedly preparing to offer Elena Sandstrom as his bride. Not fair.
A concern is that intelligence units from other nations are gathering. Due to the intensifying information warfare, more personnel are needed. It has been deemed necessary to further investigate and protect Count Ryoji Uchino—our nation’s irreplaceable asset—with only the most capable individuals assigned. I want to meet Ryoji-sama soon. Reading the delivered report with a wry smile, Harrold spoke to Schwarz, his head butler.
